Privacy notice

As of: October 2026

1. Controller

Robin Wichmann

Email: kontakt@robinwichmann.com

2. The principle of this site

This site is deliberately data-sparing. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking, no ad networks and no social-media plugins. No content is loaded from third parties: even the fonts sit on my own server. Your visit therefore triggers no connection to external providers, unless you click one of the linked sources yourself.

3. Hosting and server log files

The site runs on my own server (VPS) in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. On each request the server automatically processes technically necessary access data in log files: IP address, date and time of access, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system and the previously visited page (referrer).

The purpose is delivering the site, operational security and defending against attacks. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in a secure and functioning service under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The log data is not merged with other data and not stored longer than necessary for these purposes.

4. No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools. No personal profiles are built. A consent banner is therefore not required.

5. Contact by email

If you contact me by email, I process your details solely to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once the request is settled and no retention obligations stand in the way.

6. Newsletter signup

If you enter your address in the signup form, I store your email together with the time and your IP address as proof of consent on my own server (see point 3). The sole purpose is to notify you once there is news or a newsletter. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time, informally by email to the address above. No newsletters are sent yet; before the first send a confirmation procedure (double opt-in) will be set up. Your data is not passed on to third parties.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing (Art. 21). For this, contact the address above.

8. Right to complain

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible at the controller’s location is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony.

9. Changes to this notice

I adapt this privacy notice when the site changes or the legal situation requires it. The version published here at the time applies.
